Solving a Sticky Over-Commitment Problem


● The good-hearted & generous founder of a rapidly-emerging start-up needs help had formally & informally promised ownership to tech experts & leaders over the years - but had over-committed.  

The good-hearted, generous founder of a rapidly-emerging start-up had both formally and informally promised ownership to critical technology experts and leaders hired over several years of staff growth.  Unfortunately, the founder had unknowingly over-committed, with individual promises adding up to over 100% ownership (!).  By reconstructing history, building sound rationale, and introducing advanced long-term modeling techniques, Ascend was able to help the founder rationally fulfill his original intentions of sharing while avoiding mass rebellion among staff.  
Of interest: Founder was able to retain 40% ownership in the process, a far cry from giving it all away.
